Geography Teacher and Online Tutor for learners at all age

I am an a dedicated scientist and teacher with a broad range of technical and academic skills that includes a Master’s degree in Geography, and a doctorate degree (PhD) in Geography from Durham University. I have 4+ years of teaching and tutoring experience in Geography, teaching students from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds. I possess adequate verbal and written communication skills along with creative and effective methods in face-to-face and online teaching that foster an inspiring learning environment. I have a wide range of experiences in supporting students face-to-face as well as online teaching and I tailored it to the subject and the learning level of the students. I teach with enthusiasm and encourage my students to think about the dynamic interaction between people and the environment.I believe in fostering curiosity and critical thinking skills in my students, encouraging them to explore the world around them through a geographical lens. My ultimate goal is to instil a lifelong love of learning and appreciation for the interconnectedness of our planet. What really sets me apart from other contenders for this job is my ability to inspire, motivate and support my pupils. I will go out of my way to ensure that every child is challenged to achieve their maximum potential. I reflectively explore several innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance the dissemination of information in both in-person and online teaching environments. Some of such technologies include the use of inbuilt functionalities in Zoom and Teams, graphic tablets, Webboard for discussions and using out-of-the-box materials like novels, and films to spark interest among students in geography during online tutorials session. As a determined learner, I have used traditional and progressive methodology in planning and delivering teaching with an emphasis on recent discoveries in the field to inspire my students. I am looking forward to working with and supporting students at all stages of their education to help them develop a strong understanding of geography that goes beyond their textbooks.
