I have had four years private tutoring, teaching a range of ages and language levels, from children to working professionals. I’ve developed a strong understanding of the common challenges that students deal with when learning English. Furthermore, I have prepared students for various Cambridge exams from A2 KEY to B2 First, combining language skill development with focused exam practice. I help students understand the exam format, build effective strategies for the exam, and develop the necessary skillset to ensure steady progress and confidence on exam day.
I have aided professionals with the various challenges of parts of Business English, such as writing emails and reports, delivering presentations, and communicating effectively in meetings and phone calls.

My lessons are student-centred and focused on developing communicative competence. I aim to equip learners with practical language skills and the confidence to use them in real-life situations. I believe language learning is most effective when students engage with authentic, relevant content that connects to their interests, goals, and real-life experiences.
This means each lesson prioritises real-world communication and integrates engaging topics—like current events, culture, or academic themes—to develop both language skills and critical thinking. Students are encouraged to use English not just to learn grammar and vocabulary, but to explore ideas, solve problems, and express themselves with confidence.
A typical one-on-one lesson with me starts with relaxed conversation, often around small talk or everyday topics, which helps students warm up and practise casual speaking—something many learners find challenging. I then introduce a topic for the lesson, inviting the student to share their opinions and experiences, which is followed by listening and /or reading activities to deepen understanding and reinforce new language. Students then have chance to engage with this language in fluency-building tasks like role plays, discussions, or problem-solving tasks that reflect real-life scenarios.
Overall, my lessons are interactive, learner-driven, and adapted to individual goals. I create a motivating classroom dynamic that encourages curiosity, builds confidence, and helps students see English as a valuable tool for real communication.
