My name is Jo and I have taught both main stream and special needs including 1-1 tutoring in various settings, for more than twenty years. I enjoy supporting individuals to becoming confident learners, gaining skills to problem solve and ultimately attain their goals.
I am experienced in teaching all age groups up to GCSE level, and have experience of teaching remotely as well as in person.
I have taught all subjects at primary age level (5-11), and KS3 & KS4 (12-16) in English, Maths and History.

My tutoring sessions are developed to meet the individual's learning style and educational needs.

My lessons are interactive, utilising IT, practical application and discussion to bring challenging areas to a real-life problem solving scenario, which I have always found to help a student retain learning and be become more confident and skilled in tackling next steps.
