I will use the student’s school curriculum to guide lessons and ensure we cover the topics they are currently learning, while also adapting lessons to their individual needs. At the beginning of each lesson, I will review previous work and focus on areas the student found difficult or was less confident with. I will explain concepts clearly and break more difficult problems into manageable steps, using worked examples before allowing the student to practise independently. I will use a range of questions to check understanding, revisit topics where necessary, and gradually increase the difficulty as the student’s confidence improves. For exam preparation, I can also focus on exam-style questions and identifying common mistakes.
