look forward to teaching Maths because of my long-time enthusiasm of the subject, enhanced with my move to UK where I have tutored in a private institution T4Tutors and have been providing a helping hand to NCETM (National Center for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics) of UoB Maths Hubs section. My own experiences of learning Maths have allowed me to see how challenging the subject is, but can be made relevant to everyday life with the right teaching.
As a distinctive Master of Science (MSc) Postgraduate in Big Data and Technology and 2 decades experienced Software Tester , I have witnessed a booming era of Software Development and AI under Data Science methods and strategies, which yield insight and knowledge of various forms of data (structured and unstructured) using principles and algorithmic approach of Maths. Computer Vision models, particularly in Visual Object Detection, are rooted in time space mathematical model such as Hidden Markov Model (HMM).
In my role as a tutor , I have been introducing Maths’s topics with hypothetical scenarios to ignite my pupils' curiosity and draw their attention to lessons ending with factual examples to be pragmatic. This approach has been well echoed during my School Experience visits in England where lessons begin with a mini activity as a quick reminder of the previous lesson, followed by a "teaser" to introduce a new lesson wherein students are challenged with exercises to help them grasp the topic.
I am aware and apply teaching strategies best practices to increase the willingness of Children and Young People.
