Advert description
Hi there, I’m Lydia. I am a Masters student studying Creative Writing based in Dorset, UK.
I am passionate about all forms of writing, both creative and critical. I hope to help students understand the complex terminology of the Assessment Objectives, allowing pupils to gain marks from all areas of the Marking Criteria. I am patient and understand that every student will learn in a different manner - so will tailor my lessons to suit their needs. I appreciate close-word analysis and I am very excited to enjoy some deep conversations about literature with my students!
I am especially capable of helping students prepare for exams, understanding that it can be an emotional and challenging time in their lives. I hope to give my students confidence in their knowledge, enabling them to complete their exams to the best of their ability.
I plan to help students by first understanding their individual learning styles, and tailoring my teaching programme with exercises that will most engage the student. During lessons, I like to combine quizzes, lectures and written exercises to ensure that all students find an area that helps them revise most when independently learning.
Regarding my knowledge of the curriculum, I am well-versed with the AQA exam board, which involves Shakespeare, 19th Century Novel, Modern Drama and Poetry. My specialisms include Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, An Inspector Calls and Poetry.
