Advert description
Hey! My name's Adam and I'm a sophomore at Boston University studying Computer Engineering with a minor in math. At my university, I am a Teaching Assistant for Calculus 1, and a Student Advisor for the College of Engineering Class of 2026. I currently have a cumulative 3.7 GPA, and have held a 4.0 GPA through 10 AP courses (including AP Calculus BC) in high school, earning the distinction AP Scholar with Honor.
I have been tutoring since my junior year of high school, and continue to do so through one-on-one sessions with struggling students, going through homework and difficult topics as part of a post-lecture class, as well as holding regular review sessions before exams for groups of 10-15. I'm here to help younger students exceed in math regardless of how difficult it may seem. I'm well aware of how disliked math is to those who see no utility in it — I'd love to emphasize how important and fundamental to our world it really is through an engineering perspective.
I'm available to tutor general math courses for middle school through first year of college - Algebra, Pre-calculus, and Calculus 1 and 2 – and can structure any/all lessons around helping on homework as you need. I use a Samsung tablet to tutor in these topics, so I'm able to run through example problems or quickly navigate through PDF worksheets. My tutoring style is very engaging and interactive; you can't get lost in the material if we have a mutual dialogue over the topic. I plan to use real-world analogies and ideas from science – for example, the many applications of calculus in physics – to convey the relevance of today's lesson.
I'm happy to schedule same-day sessions on most days. Feel free to contact me and ask about my availability at any time!
