Elementary All-Subject Tutor

I earned my elementary teaching license in MA in 2012 and have worked as a early education teacher, paraprofessional, private tutor, and first grade teacher. I currently teach full-time in Hawaii for a Title 1 school where I began in 2019.

I love helping work with students to meet their potential and enjoy the same group or 1-on-1 dynamic of tutoring to better cater to what areas the students needs to supported and/or challenged in. I believe communication with the parents (and possibly classroom teachers as well) in order to find out what areas to focus on during tutoring sessions. I often use "I do, we do, you do" when tutoring to model what students need, work together to build understanding, and then have students try independently with support.
