I am a personable and kind individual who you will feel safe with to explore new and daunting concepts. I am extremely passionate about Geography and this will colour our sessions together! My goal is to help students improve their confidence and grasp concepts whilst also deepening their knowledge. I can tutor students preparing for their exams and improve technique and structuring of questions, knowledge of different command words and hitting the required Assessment Objectives. I will work with each individual student to find the best way of learning for them and put engagement with the student at the forefront of teaching.
I hold an MSc in Coastal and Marine Resource Management and a BSc in Geography (Hons) and I’m extremely knowledgeable in the field. I have also worked in the environmental industry for several years and can provide additional expert knowledge from this. I have experience managing and mentoring others and I am great at presenting and explaining difficult, complex concepts in a way that is understandable to all.
Before we begin tutoring we can have a discussion about your goals and needs and the first free session will assess whether I am the right fit for you, and you for me. I ask that before each lesson you are able to send me the material you wish to study or go over so that I can plan in advance.
