AS (Year12)/ GCSE Biology tutor for OCR

I understand what it's like to find Biology challenging because I struggled with it myself at first. Through trial and error, I developed effective study techniques and learning strategies that transformed it into one of my strongest subjects. Having been through that journey, I know how to identify the specific concepts or study habits that are holding students back, rather than simply explaining the content over and over. My goal is to diagnose the root of a student's difficulties and provide tailored strategies that help them gain confidence and achieve lasting improvement.

In addition to my own experience, I have developed my teaching skills through my role as a Science Mentor at school, where I regularly supported younger students with their learning. This experience taught me how to explain complex ideas in a clear, patient, and engaging way while adapting my approach to suit different learning styles. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, helping them build both their understanding and confidence in Biology.
