Most environmental science teaching stops at the textbook. Mine starts in the field. I hold a PG Diploma in Forestry Management from IIFM and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture, and I currently design and manage large-scale ecological restoration projects - including plantation and land-restoration work mapped and monitored using GIS tools like QGIS and Google Earth Engine.
That means when we cover soil science, plantation ecology, agricultural systems, or land-use mapping, you're not getting theory in isolation - you're getting the version that has to hold up against real site data, real budgets, and real client sign-off. If you're a university student in agriculture, forestry, or environmental science, this is especially useful for dissertation and thesis support, fieldwork methodology, or getting comfortable with GIS/remote-sensing tools that most courses mention but rarely teach hands-on. If you're at secondary/GCSE/A-level and tackling environmental or agricultural science topics, I'll ground the syllabus in examples that make it stick rather than just make it memorized.
