KS3 & GCSE English Tutor – Literature, Writing & Exam Confidence

I’m a friendly and supportive English tutor for KS3 and GCSE students. I help students build confidence in reading, writing, and essay structure, as well as supporting homework and exam preparation. I hold a university degree and have strong academic writing skills, which I use to help students understand what exam questions are really asking and how to improve their answers. My lessons are calm, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s needs, with a focus on confidence, clarity, and steady progress.

for younger students, I am also happy to maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on progress and discussing ways to support learning at home. I believe a strong partnership between tutor, student, and parent can help students feel more confident and achieve their best.

My lessons will be carried out online in a one-to-one environment. I’m happy to be flexible with scheduling and can accommodate rescheduling if a lesson is missed, ensuring students don’t fall behind.

I’m happy to plan an academic roadmap at the beginning of tutoring, helping students set clear goals and focus on the areas where they want to improve. Lessons can be planned around specific goals like exam prep or homework, but I’m equally comfortable taking a flexible approach and supporting the student with whatever they need from week to week.
