Helping Students Discover Russian as a Living Language, Not Just an Exam Subject

I work with GCSE and A‑Level students who want Russian to feel less intimidating and more like a language they can genuinely connect with. My lessons are steady, structured, and clear — the kind that make students say, “Oh… now it finally makes sense.”

I focus on helping learners notice patterns, understand why rules work the way they do, and build confidence through small, consistent wins. I don’t rush, I don’t overwhelm, and I don’t expect perfection. I guide students to think, to question, and to understand Russian as something logical and learnable.

My aim is simple: to create a space where students feel comfortable asking anything, where progress feels real, and where Russian becomes a subject they can approach with calm and confidence.
