I will begin by identifying each student’s strengths and weaker areas through discussion, targeted questions and practice papers. I will then create a clear lesson plan focused on their specific needs, rather than teaching the same material to every student. Lessons will cover the GCSE English Language specification, including specific question types and exam extracts students may encounter. I will use model answers to break down what makes a high-mark response, then guide students through building their own answers before moving towards independent practice. We will regularly complete timed exam questions and full practice papers, followed by detailed feedback to identify exactly what needs improving. I will also share the practical techniques, structures and approaches that helped me achieve a Grade 9 in GCSE English Language, giving students methods they can confidently apply in their own exams.
