Advert description
I am currently an undergraduate student studying English Literature and History. I am also the former Birmingham Young poet laureate, a role which included writing the Birmingham platinum jubilee anthem, headlining a campaign for Eon energy and regularly performing for amnesty international.
As well as this, I have been able to judge poetry performances and have been invited to multiple schools in order to run English and poetry workshops meaning I have a vast range of experience in teaching from a young age.
I strive to offer lessons that not only engage students in the English course they are studying, but also inspire a further interest and understanding to English as a whole. I aim to have a flexible approach to my lessons which are predominantly student-led to ensure that my teaching is personalised to the students needs so that they will be able to achieve their full potential.
My creative writing and poetry lessons follow the same approach, allowing students to creatively explore their personal artistic style whilst developing important writing techniques and skills
At IGCSE level I achieved two 9’s (A*) in English literature and English language and a distinction in English speaking and at A Level I achieved an A in English Literature
I am happy to teach English and Creative Writing:
-Primary school (ages 4-11)

-secondary school (ages 12-15)
