My communication skills are one of my biggest strengths. Through my customer service and volunteer roles, I’ve learned how to explain concepts clearly and adjust my communication style to meet the needs of different people. I understand the importance of patience and empathy. I’ve worked with vulnerable individuals at a childrens charity which has taught me how to be understanding and compassionate. My experience in organizing and managing tasks also comes in handy. I’ve led events and worked within strict deadlines, so I know how to structure my time, plan lessons, and keep track of a student’s progress. I’ve developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills through my studies in applied science and psychology, and I’m able to break down complex ideas in a way that’s easy for students to understand. I also have experience with goal setting—whether it was helping patients in healthcare or supporting others in volunteer roles. Setting clear, achievable goals is something I’ll apply in helping students succeed. Overall, my ability to work with a variety of people, my organizational skills, and my passion for helping others make me confident that I would excel as a maths tutor.
