English Language & Literature Tutor

I am a passionate and supportive English Language and Literature tutor with an MA in English Language and Literature (Distinction) from Canterbury Christ Church University. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and have a strong academic background in literary analysis, language, academic writing and research.

I help students develop confidence in English while making lessons engaging, clear and tailored to their individual learning needs. I can support students with English language skills, reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, vocabulary, literary analysis, critical thinking and exam preparation.

My approach is patient, encouraging and student-centred. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style according to their level, goals and areas for improvement. Whether a student needs help understanding a challenging text, improving their writing, preparing for an examination or simply becoming more confident in English, I aim to create a comfortable environment where they can learn without feeling pressured.

My academic research background has also strengthened my ability to analyse texts, develop arguments and communicate complex ideas clearly. I particularly enjoy helping students understand literature beyond the surface level and develop their own interpretations and critical opinions.
