My name is Pablo Bass.
I am 63 years young of West Indian origin born and raised in the UK.
A musician at heart and my main and dearest instruments are Cello,
Upright electric and 5 string Bass guitar.
I worked for South Birmingham College where I taught
Digital Music using Cubase on Windows and Logic Pro on Mac OSX.
Together with Live stage Performance and Studio vocal performance Skills,
Audio Digital Recording, for Lead vocals, Harmonies, and Instruments,
Music composition on Guitar and Bass.
I have been involved in the music business since I was 16 years old.
With my first band Beshara of which co wrote a Reggae chart number one.
My mentors have been Steve Nesbitt, (drummer of Steel Pulse band), Horace Ward (live mixer and studio mix engineer of Lauren Hill, Usher and Lady Gaga). I have learnt my engineering skills with fore mentioned Horace Ward and Selwyn Brown (keyboard player of Steel Pulse). I have also worked with Tony Meade who is an author, poet, actor and entertainer of Inspire Books West Midlands. And Baba Lakkaan Uk Grammy Award winner.
I have toured with Fine Young Cannibals, Specials, Selector and UB40 with my band Beshara as well as touring in West Africa as bass player with Musical Youth Band and Black Flames Band. To name a few.
Before moving to Finland I was a single parent to
my 3 month premature Son. And concentrated on my new role.
In year 2002 I was attacked and sustained a serious head injury
which has effected my near memory. But somehow not my Playing abilities.
I can have difficulties e.g. remembering peoples names if not seen on a regular basis
And a visual disability which is cured by a coloured overlay or coloured paper.
I am a people person of a happy demeanour and love to see
Other people around me happy.
I enjoy Teaching, Jamming and exploring Music no matter what age or skill level.
Theres always something to learn. Always something to pass on.
