Experienced Maths tutor helping students excel in their GCSE and Key Stage 3

As Maths tutor since I finished college, I have accumulated over seven years teaching, particularly focusing on GCSE and Key Stage 3. Typically an hour in length, I tailor my lessons to suit individual needs. I am very passionate about Maths and helping others learn.

I cover topics thoroughly to ensure my student understands the content and feels confident in what they are doing. I always take care to address trickier questions, guiding students through them using visual techniques and multiple exerts from revision materials. My goal is that my students then have the knowledge and confidence to tackle these harder questions on their own!

For lessons, I always ensure I have questions and material prepared that are well suited to my student's current understanding, as well as appropriately challenging them to advance their learning. I also personalise homework, using past exam papers, multiple revision resources and my own questions to test and assess my student's understanding.

My dissertation within educational psychology highlighted to me the importance of providing a positive and supportive environment. In such, students can grow their confidence, abilities and reach their full potential. I always go the extra mile to ensure my students’ success!
