Advert description
My name is Bethan, and I am a English Language & Literature graduate of Merton College at the University of Oxford, where I subsequently obtained my PGCE. I also hold a masters degree in Psychology and Learning Disability from the University of Portsmouth.
I have always loved learning and that has translated into a love of enabling learning. There is no greater honour than supporting learners in their journeys. Whether it is confidence that is craved or a deeper understanding of a topic that is sought, I enjoy being part of the process of achievement.
When it comes to literature, my specialties lie in Shakespeare, Old English, Old Welsh and poetry. My special interests in the field of psychology are biological causes of psychological phenomenon, human behaviour and criminal psychology. I am competent and comfortable with a vast range of English and Welsh language and literature academia, as well as with the full spectrum of psychological topics.
As a first language Welsh speaker, I also love being able to support learners in accessing a closer relationship with language and culture through the medium of our beautiful native tongue.
I offer hour long tutoring sessions for individuals or groups, held in person or online, for the following subjects in both English and Welsh:
• GCSE & A Level English Language
• GCSE & A Level English Literature
• GCSE & A Level History
• GCSE & A Level Psychology
Support is available with analysis, essay structure, unseen texts, exam technique, and confidence‑building etc.
