Advert description
As a teacher I believe that every student is capable of experiencing the passion that I feel for psychology. I believe in learning as collaborators rather than listeners as I engage my students in the study of psychology through crafting stories to draw them wholly into the learning experience. I prefer to teach through demonstrations by conducting mini experiments and analyzing data in the classroom, by participating in small group debates and role plays. I have observed that the students learn more effectively and retain the information for longer period of time when they have been physically involved in the process of receiving the knowledge. I believe Psychology is one subject that could be highly relatable to people from all fields and if taught in an interesting manner, it could really go a long way into enabling these students as insightful and empathetic individuals. I also have a firm believe that every student possesses unique capabilities that can be shared with others have given the appropriate support. I challenge my students to share opinions to mentor one another and also expect to be challenged by the students as communicated earlier in class.
The reason why I became a teacher for Psychology is that I want to inspire growth in my students by giving them a diverse perspective to approach their life with a sense of curiosity, open- mindedness and the ability to critically analyze any stimulating event rather than following the course of action provided by the standards of general population.
