Maths lessons to discover what revision works best for you, also lessons to learn and enjoy maths

In the first hour with me we will discuss what parts of maths you feel weakest at and what you feel you are strongest at. We will discuss what strategies you have been using to revise and I will be understanding what type of person you are so I can direct my lessons to be more fit for you as you are your own individual person that could require different strategies to someone else.(This is a free session because I am not tutoring you yet)

Once I get an understanding for what type of person you are and what type of learning fits you the most, I will spend some of my time making presentations and strategies that will help you learn and improve upon what you have already learnt. Each lesson we will improve your ability to learn and if there is any suggestions for strategies that could help you please tell me. If you have already discovered what works for you we will continue to work that way so you get the most of my lessons and the most out of your time with me.

Flash cards helped out lots for my GCSE's and are what made it so I was able to enjoy my GCSE exams more than being really upset after each exam, but it wasn't always like this. I struggled for a long time finding what worked best with me and so that is my reasoning behind the free session; it helps me decide what fits you best because I remember doing lots of revision and none of it being worth my time so I decided that before I even begin tutoring you, we should decide what is the most effective strategy for you.

Once everything is decided and we are able to work effectively I will begin tutoring you on those subjects you feel weakest on, I will also once a month test you on things you said you are best at. If we don't use the knowledge, we lose it and so I will make sure you don't ever lose that knowledge so when we expand upon something we don't have to go back and teach it again. If you do forget and I have to teach it again that is alright, I will always have the presentations saved on my computer for us to go over again if we need to. I will also give you the presentations if you would like to go over them in your free time.

I also give you homework and while that sounds extremely boring I promise you I will try my best to make it enjoyable and make it so you don't lose what we learnt, because once you get into the later stages of maths the easy parts of maths join to make the harder parts.
