GCSE Psychology and A Level Psychology, GCSE Sociology and A level Sociology

I have been a Head of Sociology and or Psychology for the majority of my 25 year teaching career. I've taught in state schools and Independent schools; teaching students with a range of abilities, students with SEND and students with English as a second language

My teaching has consistently been rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and 'Excellent' by ISI in the Independent sector.

I have achieved and maintained an 85%-100% A* to C grades and GCSE 9-4 grades well above the national average; a high proportion of A level A* grades - including when teaching my own daughter!

I am known for my interactive, fun and easy to remember learning techniques. I have developed an extensive range of my own teaching resources and tasks, including PowerPoints for every lesson of the GCSE and A level Sociology and Psychology AQA specification, which I always share with my students once I have taught the topic.

I've developed a package of revision exercises and pride myself on my exam skills preparation lessons, as I am also an AQA Examiner. Therefore, I know exactly what the exam boards are looking for.

I've been a private tutor at various points of my career and have been delighted to see outstanding results from my pupils.
