About Me
I spent a decade coaching young people — rugby from under-6s through to under-16s, and jiu jitsu for three years alongside that. Not coaching the game. Coaching the person. The kids who weren't getting picked up. The ones who didn't quite believe they could. The ones who needed someone in their corner who actually knew them, not just their grades or their output.
One of the young people I coached recently got through the first round of a Yorkshire rugby trial. He called me the night before. We talked for an hour — not about tactics, about belief. That's the conversation I'm here for.
Alongside coaching, I've spent 20 years in senior commercial roles — including leadership, mentoring, and building programmes that help people show up differently. I've been Sandler-trained in communication and listening, which means I know how to ask the question underneath the question, not just take the first answer someone gives me.

What I Offer
Sessions are built around you — your goals, your blockers, your pace. No scripts, no generic frameworks. I work with young people aged 16–25 who are navigating one or more of the following:
· Academic pressure and managing stress without shutting down
· Building confidence — in the room, on paper, in themselves
· Goal-setting that actually means something, not just a list of targets
· Motivation and focus: understanding why it comes and goes, and what to do about it
· Transitions — sixth form to university, university to work, or just figuring out what's next
· Time management and organisation that fits how their brain actually works

I don't just want to help students get through their exams or their course. I want them to finish our sessions with a clearer sense of who they are and where they're going. That's the work that lasts.

My Background
· 10 years coaching young people in rugby (under-6s through under-16s) and 3 years in jiu jitsu
· 20+ years in senior commercial roles — including mentoring, enablement, and leadership development
· Sandler and SPIN trained — structured listening and communication at a professional level
· Currently pursuing ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring
· Volunteer Employability Mentor, The King's Trust (in progress)

How It Works
Sessions run online, 1-to-1, at a time that works for you. I typically work with students on a regular basis — weekly or fortnightly.
