SEN Teacher - Touching up on SEND by using different Interventions to support SEND children

I am a SEND Teacher / Assistant I have been working in this field for up to 8 years in a primary school.
I can deliver lessons/ interventions on a one to one basis helping to develop everyday life skills for their future.

Interventions that I can deliver:
- Colourful semantics- where children elaborate their speech and language being able to talk in simple sentences to complex sentences.
- Following simple to detailed instructions. Here the child listens to the instructions given and follows the teacher by placing the right objects in the correct place.
- Story narrative- the child is shown a picture / image then are asked questions to what they can see. This helps with speech and sentence building.
- What’s in the box. In this intervention the child is shown a box with an object inside.The teacher takes the object out and asks what it is by using the 5 senses.
- Phonics. Phonics intervention helps children hear, identify and use different sounds that distinguish one word from another in the English language. It’s a life skill that would always be essential.
- Sequencing pictures, depending on the child’s ability 2 to 4 pictures are shown to put the correct order.
