Friendly and experienced GCSE Maths and Science tutor

Hi I’m Jasmine!
I am currently a full time undergraduate student for a bachelor’s degree in optometry.
I tutor up to GCSE level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In my own GCSEs I got an 8 in each of these subjects and I took Maths, Biology and Chemistry for my A Levels.

My lessons are relaxed and engaging to help your child’s confidence in exams stay strong. It’s important to feel calm and prepared walking into that hall and that’s exactly what my approach to teaching provides.
I stay up to date with exam specifications in all main exam boards including OCR, AQA and edexcel. I also keep up with the latest and most effective learning techniques. Your child will learn how to learn, understand and apply the material not just for maths and science but all the subjects they take. They will also benefit greatly from my personal advice about exam preparation.
Some examples of my tutoring techniques are: practicing past paper questions and going through the mark scheme for applying the content; mind maps and blurting to understand and summarise topics; flash cards and quizzes to memorise the content; the OSCAR model for revision and of course me teaching the material for understanding and applying.
