Maths tutor of GCSE and functional skills of all ages

I have a masters degree in education. I have taught maths and English at GCSE and
Functional Skills level for 8 years. I teach 16-18 year olds and adult learners in an FE college and have an excellent pass rate.

I taught online classes over the pandemic maintaining the achievement level of learners. My experience has meant I have supported learners from various backgrounds and starting points. I specialise in building confidence with using maths skills to then allow learners to build their knowledge and skills to achieve their qualification.

My lessons are developed looking at your previous knowledge and areas needed to develop, along with looking at the curriculum needed to cover. My lessons are planned with scaffolding techniques of show, examples and practice to build your confidence and skills moving onto exam questions that bring in multiple topics into single large mark questions. Basic topics and questions are recapped throughput to ensure topics are remembered week to week.
