I like to start by understanding what the child already knows and enjoys, and build on that. I enjoy incorporating real-life examples to help people get a grasp of theories and concepts, and ensure that not just memorisation occurs. It's key to know that there is a solid understanding of what we go through. Interactive activities are important to sustain engagement, as well as satisfying the key components for intrinsic motivation: autonomy, competence, and relatedness! :)
