Tutoring in person is an excellent way for a student to receive a tailor-made learning experience , it also gives a tutor more insight into a learner's needs - allowing for more in-person customisation of a lesson.
Curriculum needs are kept to so that the student receives the needed tuition for whatever level is required.
I like to use skype for my online lessons as we can see each other to talk about any problems, as well as screen share any work we have and I can see exactly what a student is doing so I can correct it and give advise while they are completing it.
I have used various other platforms as well to provide lessons online but I find skype is the best - obviously any student requests will be considered.
My lessons consist of relevant exam work, relating to the board being worked to, as well as school homework revision and help in understanding and completion of work.
I find that when a student works online they are focussed well due to the familiarity of the situation and, having no distractions, the lessons always go to plan!
