I would use Interchange by Cambridge Univ. Press, group lessons, songs,,movies, and handouts
It would be Idea Reason Example for basic organization, present lesson five minutes, teacher talk time, twenty percent
Paraphrase and summarize when possible, games always, and nuturing, encouraging, as at the universities, private school, public schools, and adult classes in S Korea mostly. They would make a presentation with friends using Thai shadow puppets sometimes, of the lesson, and there would be quizzes, online journals, tests and oral test.
The adult students would get a movie too, with subtitles, and there would be pre and post quizzes about the movie. The students were then encouraged to practice out of class, and in the groups to make a presentation on the lessons. SOme lexis in the native language sometimes, and whatever would work in letting the groups have eighty percent of the talking time, memorize from the lesson, and presnt that, and act it, body language and other things to reinforce were used, and a relaxed atmosphere, no corrections in class, and giving as much attention as possible by mingling with each group.
