GCSE and A Level Maths Tutor

Advert description
Genuinely interested and fascinated in Mathematics and finally happy pursuing it as a career, helping young people and adults to progress in education, work, and life. Have a strong will and are extremely self-disciplined. Often strive not to like the idea of failure. This solid determination often wins through and passed on to students thereby earning them the success they desire.
Maths is black and white, there is no room for ambiguity. Every question has a clear answer. When you solve it, you can either be right or wrong. For many students, Maths is not something that comes intuitively or automatically. It takes plenty of effort. It is a subject that sometimes requires students to devote lots and lots of time and energy. This means for many; the problem has little to do with brain power, it is a matter of staying in power. I will be there to assure students that no matter where they are in Maths they can still excel. I would guide them to backtrack far enough to reinforce Foundation filling in the holes with a deep understanding of basic concepts.
Using a wide range of teaching strategies enables learners to not only gain from lessons but establish content within which they can take control of their own learning. Confident in the delivery of student led topics with focused activities aimed at developing knowledge or skill, creatively demonstrating the skills required for students to effectively put them into practice. I encourage self-analysis and reflection for both me and my students, creating individually tailored action plans, monitoring progression, and performing regular observations.
