Maths, Science to Primary, Early Secondary School aged children

With my experience within St. John Ambulance Cymru as a Youth Leader, it has been able to help me develop me some valuable skills about how to benefit children. For example, I had a child who was struggling and then become disruptive because they were bored and didn’t understand. The parents then made me aware that the child had Sever Autism. I then went away a researched ways that I can benefit this student the most. Before the next session i had spoke with the parents on ways I had found to help their child to flourish. With these accommodations this child ended up becoming very successful, I had also noticed a lot more engagement from other children as well. This reaffirmed my belief that children can really develop and skill they want/ need to if it brings them joy. So with my sessions I try my best to make it as fun as possible and then at the end having a recap of what they have learnt (to see if they understood ) and to see if the children actually enjoyed it and ask what they would like to change to make the seasons better.
