Teaching Approach & Method

My approach is student-centered, emotionally attuned, and interdisciplinary. I combine reflective practices (such as visual journaling and creative prompts) with structured feedback grounded in art, psychology, and learning experience design. I meet each student where they are—whether they’re refining a creative project, rediscovering their voice, or moving through a life or academic transition.

I help learners unlock expression, process complex emotions or ideas, and develop work that is both personally meaningful and intellectually sound.

A Typical Lesson

Each session is tailored, but generally includes:
1. Check-in & Intention-Setting – What’s present today? What would you like to explore or move forward with?
2. Guided Exploration – This could include visual journaling, ideation exercises, or structured feedback depending on your needs.
3. Dialogue & Reflection – We’ll unpack what came up, identify patterns or insights, and plan next steps.
4. Gentle Integration or Homework – A creative or reflective practice to continue on your own.

What Sets Me Apart

• I bridge the emotional, intellectual, and intuitive dimensions of learning.
• I’m trained in Developmental Psychology and Instructional Design, with over 10 years of experience in education and the arts.
• I create a space where you can show up as your full self—messy, curious, unsure, brilliant.
• I founded Soft Perception Lab, where I research how emotion, perception, technology, and creative expression intersect.

Who It’s For

These sessions are for:
• University students, early-career creatives, interdisciplinary thinkers, and sensitive humans
• People working on art, educational, or psychology-related projects
• Anyone going through a life transition, creative block, or seeking to explore their inner world
• Individuals who feel “between disciplines” or unsure where they fit—and want a space to grow into their own direction
