My preferred teaching style is incorporating fun and cultural exchange into learning to bring the fun back into language learning rather than another chore. I seek to explore children’s own personal interests and use these to tailor our sessions to make the learning process smooth and encourage language acquisition and confidence. I work collaboratively with students to find what challenges them and what to focus on, whilst keeping the sessions light with low pressure. Whether it be casual conversation or grammar points, I’m happy to repeat the same process as many times is needed! As a language learner myself I understand the difficulties with learning a foreign language, even if that’s just a matter of confidence. Overall, I love to pass on my native language and culture to encourage its real world application, not confining it to a classroom that limits motivation!
