I am a first year Economics undergraduate student at the University of Leicester. I have a strong academic background in mathematics, achieving a grade 8 at GCSE and a B at A Level. I recently achieved 94% in my Maths for Economics mid-term assessment which demonstrates an advanced understanding of core mathematical principles and the ability to apply them effectively.

I aim to build a structured roadmap for each of my students. To do this, I identify weak points early and I will break down the topic in a simplified manner through the use of worked examples. Once the student is confident in their understanding of the worked examples and topic, students are required to practise exam style questions as I believe that this is one of the most pivotal steps in order to achieve exam success.

My lessons are engaging and interactive. I encourage students to always ask questions if they are unsure about a specific exam question or of my explanation of a particular concept. I believe that asking questions are a great way to reinforce understanding as each student may have different gaps in their knowledge when attempting to understand a specific concept.

Student progression is very important to me. This is why I like to identify gaps in knowledge early so that I can spend more time improving the student's knowledge within these areas. By the time exams come around, students will be confident in their understanding of all topics across the entire exam board and will be able to confidently answer a variety of exam style questions to a high level.
