Let's be real. I've been through tuition as a child hours and hours of himming and hawing but its just not sticking in is it? Boring! Feel the same way? Don't worry I've got you covered. When i teach you, its ACTIVE not passive revision. No reading notes or looking bleakly at flashcards most certainly not! Here, I teach you actively using blurting, retrieval cues, exam questions and going over exam technique to ensure you score the top band answers in the exams.
But if you want my help I need you to be willing to put the work in as well. As the old saying goes 'It Takes Two to Tango' and its never been truer when it comes to exam prep. I've been there, done that bought the T-Shirt and am predicted A borderline A* for psychology. I'm going to help you see how what you learn in the AQA specification will apply in your real life e.g how Classical Conditioning has been applied to treat and explain phobias, how Interference theory can explain why you tend to confuse Cerebrum with Cerebellum and how your teacher's dreaded detentions and sanctions for missed homework decrease the likelihood of you performing those behaviours again.
We'll also go through model answers & examiners reports and if I get the chance, I'll show you some of my transcripts from the exams I've done. If you do mocks, we'll go through the mocks together and I'll give you an in depth feedback session.
When I teach the priority is not me I do it for the sake of Allah but the person who mainly benefits is YOU. YOU my dear student are the priority for me. We eat the crow while's its hot as it tends to go down easier i.e we do the stuff you find the difficult first and then we move on to cover other aspects. We'll use past papers to test your knowledge and I'll teach you the importance of timing in exams as it is EVERYTHING!
I have a passion for seeing people especially youth succeed and I've given GCSE Students advice on what helped me do well in my exams. I've served as a tutor for students during Year 12 and as a peer mentor and Debate Mentor where I chaired debates, actively listened to students' concerns and facilitated them to find solutions to their problems by themselves. And I believe teaching you how to fish is better than giving you a fish everyday.
