I’ll mainly focus on GCSE/Alevel pure maths and GCSE advanced mathematics. So I need the textbook and the topics students want me to cover before each lesson so that I can be fully prepared. I’ll go through the theory and definitions first and keep giving examples, gradually increase the difficulty. Also I’ll go through different types of exam style questions for students getting used to the real exam. Feel free to ask me any questions! For every topics I will make a paper with different types of questions that are likely to be tested so students can be more confident with their exam.
When I was doing my Alevel, my maths teacher always said ‘when you are explaining a question to others, you will be more familiar with how the logic of these type of questions works.’ So he suggests me to start with teaching GCSE students. I went through several exam papers with a GCSE student, and she got improvement in her class test grade.
I hope my students can have the ability to explain ( not just solving problems)
