About me?
Hi! I’m Zhitian, or just Tian, a native Mandarin speaker studying finance. I love languages and travel. I’ve explored several European countries on my own, walked the Camino de Santiago, and made friends from many cultures along the way. These experiences taught me that speaking a new language takes confidence and practice, not perfection.

That’s why I’m here to help. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to those looking to improve their conversational fluency, pronunciation or tones. Whether you’re learning Mandarin for travel, work, study or personal interest, I’d love to be part of your journey to becoming multilingual!

About our class?
My lessons are relaxed, conversation-focused and built around you. In our first session, we’ll talk about your goals and current level, then build a simple plan to use Mandarin in real-life situations. You can practise confidently, ask questions freely and learn at your own pace.

Each lesson could mix speaking practice, short listening and vocabulary activities, and clear explanations of pronunciation and tones. We’ll use everyday situations, like ordering food, travelling or introducing yourself, so you can use what you learn right away.

I’m new to formal tutoring, but I’m used to explaining things clearly to people from different backgrounds. I’ve conducted 170+ face-to-face interviews for a national household survey, adapting my language to each person, and I’ve helped classmates understand finance concepts step by step. As a native speaker, I aim to give you natural, everyday Mandarin and gentle feedback so you can speak with confidence.
