Zaynab Imran

Hello, my name is Zaynab and I am 19 years old. Throughout the course of my own education, I have accumulated experience working with young students which has only encouraged my desire to teach.

During my A Level studies, I was fortunate enough to be a learning assistant to students from ages 11-16 in subjects including English, French, RE, Maths, and more.
In my previous experience as an English tutor to Year 7 students, I would follow a weekly 1 hour-session structure after school to aid students with their comprehension skills, reading abilities, and further skills such as inference.

As mentioned previously, my sessions will not follow one structure for every student, instead, I will develop corresponding strategies to each individual’s needs and objectives.

My priority amongst all my tutees is to inspire a love of learning and for education to be something of value to them. I believe that warmth, friendliness, and compassion are vital requirements of anyone in a teaching role, and so I will establish a judgement-free environment in my sessions where I will do my best to make tutees feel heard, accepted, and acknowledged.

I would like potential students to know that my sessions will take place with a guarantee of patience, respect, understanding, and commitment from myself. I am a friendly person who has only recently finished studying, so I am completely aware of the challenges that come with school and learning - and I intend to work on these topics with my future students!
