Hi, I'm Zara! I'm currently studying Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, which means maths is something I use every day — not just something I learned once and forgot. I specialise in IGCSE Maths, covering everything from algebra and geometry to trigonometry, statistics, and probability.

I've taught maths informally for a while now — helping neighbours, friends, and family members who were stuck on topics or struggling to keep up in school. I know first-hand that maths can feel overwhelming when a topic doesn't click straight away, and I don't believe in just handing over formulas to memorise. My approach is to break every problem down into small, manageable steps, and to always explain the 'why' behind a method, not just the 'how' — because once a concept actually makes sense, it sticks.

My lessons are relaxed, patient, and judgement-free. There's no such thing as a silly question in my sessions, and I go at whatever pace works for the student, whether that means slowing down to revisit the basics or moving quickly through topics someone's already confident with. I use worked examples, past paper questions, and step-by-step practice to build both understanding and exam technique, since IGCSE Maths is as much about knowing how to answer under exam conditions as it is about understanding the maths itself.

I'm easy to talk to, encouraging, and genuinely enjoy seeing a student go from dreading maths to feeling confident about it.
