I’m a friendly, reliable, and patient tutor with a genuine passion for supporting young children in their learning and development. I’ve completed over 750 hours of placement working with children from birth to 5 years old, which has given me valuable hands-on experience with a wide range of ages, abilities, and personalities. Through this, I’ve learned how important it is to create a calm, positive, enabling environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to learn at their own pace.

My lessons are tailored to each individual child, as I understand that every learner is different. I combine structured learning with more creative, play-based activities to keep children engaged and interested. For example, I might use games, storytelling, songs, or simple interactive tasks to help develop skills in areas such as early reading, writing, maths, and communication. I believe children learn best when they are enjoying themselves, so I always try to make lessons fun as well as educational.

I focus strongly on building confidence as well as ability. I take the time to praise effort, encourage independence, and support children when they find something challenging. I’m patient and understanding, and I adapt my approach depending on how the child is feeling and responding during the session.

My experience has also helped me become a calm and quick thinker, allowing me to handle different situations effectively and provide the best possible support. Overall, my aim is to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and suited to each child, helping them grow not only in their learning but also in their confidence and independence.
