Hi, I’m Zahra, a 16-year-old A Level student studying Maths, Politics, and Economics. I achieved grade 9s (A** equivalent) in both GCSE Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and I’m passionate about helping younger students develop confidence and clarity in maths.
I gained valuable experience through volunteering with Year 6 pupils preparing for their SATs. In this role, I supported small groups and individual students, focusing on arithmetic and reasoning skills. I learned how to tailor my explanations to different learning styles, using clear step-by-step methods to help students grasp challenging concepts. Watching their improvement and growing confidence confirmed how rewarding tutoring can be.
My tutoring style is patient, structured, and encouraging. I aim to identify areas of weakness, strengthen understanding, and build problem-solving confidence. Having recently gone through GCSE exams myself, I’m familiar with the current curriculum and effective revision strategies that genuinely work for students.
I offer tutoring for KS2 and KS3 Mathematics, both online and in person. My rate is £15 per hour, and I’m happy to adjust lessons to each student’s goals — whether that’s exam preparation, catching up, or aiming for top grades.
