My lessons are designed to make Politics engaging, understandable, and genuinely interesting not just memorising content for an exam. I believe students learn best when they can connect political ideas to the real world, so I regularly use current events, historical examples, elections, political campaigns, and international developments to bring topics to life and make academic concepts easier to understand and remember.
A major focus of my teaching is helping students develop strong essay-writing and analytical skills. Drawing from both my secondary school and university experience, I teach simple but highly effective essay structures that help students communicate arguments clearly, critically evaluate ideas, and achieve stronger marks in exams and coursework. I aim to break down complex political concepts into manageable and approachable discussions without oversimplifying the subject.
My lessons are interactive and discussion-based where possible, encouraging students to ask questions, challenge ideas, and build confidence in their own understanding. I adapt sessions depending on the student’s needs whether that is revision support, improving essay technique, understanding political systems, or preparing for exams.
Above all, I value learning itself more than simply teaching students to follow a test algorithm. Exam success matters, but genuine understanding and curiosity are the most important parts of my lessons. My goal is to help students not only improve academically, but also become more confident, informed, and engaged thinkers.
