I have over 20 years experience in education, a fully qualified (Oxbridge) tutor with a relaxed, friendly nature yet am motivational and encouraging in my approach to teaching. I hold a strong passion for English, Drama and History and am inspired to share this love with my students. I am organised but flexible, approachable and reliable. I work freelance in both remote and in person education.

Experience
Extensive experience in tutoring - all levels in 1:1 and groups with a high success rate in improving student's grades. Specialising in exam preparation particularly GCSEs and Alevel and enhancing writing skills. Passionate about my subject and a strong motivator for students, instilling that passion and equipping students with the tools they need to succeed. Currently authoring assessments and training teachers /pedagogy and creating teaching resources. Fully qualified in subject areas.

How I tutor
I feel it is important to do an initial, informal, assessment from which we can agree on a learning plan. This bespoke LP will then be re-evaluated as we progress and continual focus placed on areas which still need improving. Achieving student aims is reached by motivation, encouragement and designing lessons that evoke interest. Resources selected are based on combining the individual's interests with the subject matter. This lends itself to exploring and fully educating to achieve set goal.
