Ever since I did my GCSEs, I've been helping friends and family with their revision. My blueprint goes as follows: explaining information 1-1 until the student understands and is able to explain it back to me coherently, then walk through practice questions. Ever since I did my GCSEs, I've been helping friends and family with their revision. My blueprint goes as follows: explaining information 1-1 until the student understands and is able to explain it back to me coherently, then walk through practice questions. The final and most important stage is to do as much exam questions as possible where they will apply their newly-found knowledge into unknown contexts. My marking will give the students areas to work on and improve as well as highlighting ways in which the student can improve his exam technique and time-management skills in exam conditions. My job would be to walk-through this process and provide the best resources, websites and videos to the student so they can spend more time revising efficiently instead of looking for resources to revise from!

For my GCSEs, this method helped me achieve 5 grade 8s and 4 grade 9s in all my Triple sciences and Further Maths. and hopefully A*, A*, A, B in my A-levels. I am currently studying Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Arabic at sixth-form.

Most traditional methods of revision are not as effective and are time consuming. For example, I had a teacher who had 'experience' teaching for a long time, however, would often teach outside of the specification and would neglect the most important part of revision, which is exam practice. This is the reason I believe teachers who recently went through exams are the best at teaching upcoming students in the most effective way possible.
