Every lesson starts with a quick chat about where you are and what you want to achieve, whether that’s an exam grade, a topic that won’t click, or just more confidence. From there, I plan each session around you rather than following a fixed script.

Lessons are one-to-one and online, usually 60 minutes. We begin by recapping the last session, then work through a topic in small, manageable steps. I explain the idea first, we do an example together, and then you try one with me alongside to guide you. I’m happy for you to ask questions at any point, however small, because that’s often where the real understanding happens.
I draw on my MSc from Cranfield and my First Class degree in Aeronautical Engineering, where maths was part of everyday work. This means I can show you how topics like calculus, mechanics and algebra are used in real situations, which often makes them easier to remember.
I also adapt to how you learn best, whether that’s visual diagrams, step-by-step written working, or talking ideas through aloud. If you’re preparing for exams, we’ll practise past-paper style questions together, so you know what to expect and can approach exam day feeling fully prepared.
At the end of each session, I’ll share a few simple study tips and, if you’d like, some short practice questions to try before we meet again. The pace is always calm and patient, with no judgement, so you can feel comfortable getting things wrong while you learn.
