Yixin Cai

Hello! My name is Yixin, and I am a native Mandarin speaker from China currently studying for an MSc in Nursing at the University of Liverpool.

I offer personalised online Chinese lessons for learners of all ages and levels. Whether you are learning Mandarin for travel, work, university, HSK exams, or simply because you are interested in Chinese language and culture, I will tailor each lesson to suit your individual goals and learning style.

Living and studying in the UK has given me valuable experience communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds. I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel challenging, so I always aim to create a relaxed, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

My lessons focus on practical communication, pronunciation, vocabulary, and everyday expressions that you can use in real-life situations. If you prefer, I can also help with reading, writing, grammar, or introduce aspects of Chinese culture, including festivals, traditions, and basic Chinese calligraphy.

As a nursing postgraduate, I have developed patience, empathy, and strong communication skills through working with people from diverse backgrounds. These qualities help me explain concepts clearly and adapt my teaching to each student's pace.
