Yixin

My lessons are friendly, interactive and tailored to each student’s level and goals. I usually start by understanding what the student wants to improve, such as speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, exam preparation, or everyday conversation.

For beginners, I teach step by step, starting with basic pronunciation, simple words, sentence structures and useful daily expressions. For intermediate students, I focus more on conversation practice, listening skills, grammar correction and expanding vocabulary. I also include cultural topics where helpful, so students can understand how Chinese is used in real-life situations.

During lessons, I like to encourage students to speak as much as possible. I correct pronunciation and grammar in a supportive way and give clear examples to help students improve naturally. I can also provide short practice tasks after lessons to help students review what they have learned.

As a native Mandarin speaker studying at the University of Warwick, I understand both Chinese and English learning environments. My aim is to make Chinese lessons enjoyable, practical and confidence-building for every student.
