YingShi Helsby was brought up bilingually in Harbin, China, speaking standard Mandarin ('Putonghua') and Korean. Studied, worked and lived in Japan for 7 years, and has qualifications in all 3 countries. She has been living in England since 1993 and brought up 2 children with her English husband. She worked as a software engineer for nearly 20 years, and now a full-time language tutor - Mandarin,...
YingShi Helsby was brought up bilingually in Harbin, China, speaking standard Mandarin ('Putonghua') and Korean. Studied, worked and lived in Japan for 7 years, and has qualifications in all 3 countries. She has been living in England since 1993 and brought up 2 children with her English husband. She worked as a software engineer for nearly 20 years, and now a full-time language tutor - Mandarin, Japanese and ESL (English as a Second Language) and cultural awareness trainer for over 15 years.
She’s also a speaking examiner for GCSE/iGCSE/GCE A-level for nearly 10 years.
