I’m a dedicated English tutor with a Master’s degree in Education, specialising in young learners’ language development. My teaching philosophy is rooted in both evidence-based educational research and a passion for making learning fun, engaging, and personalised for every child. Drawing on my background in children’s language acquisition and home literacy environment research, I design lessons that balance structured skill-building with interactive, student-centred activities tailored to each learner’s unique style, pace, and goals.
My lessons are carefully crafted to build core English skills—including phonics, vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, and conversational fluency—while fostering confidence and a genuine love for the language. I use a variety of dynamic tools in every session: games, songs, stories, hands-on activities, and real-world conversation prompts that keep young learners curious and motivated. For students working on school grades, I integrate targeted practice aligned with their curriculum; for those building conversational skills or confidence in reading, I focus on low-pressure, interactive practice that encourages participation without fear of mistakes.
Central to my approach is the belief that every child learns differently, so I never use a one-size-fits-all method. I start by getting to know each student’s interests, strengths, and areas for growth, then build a personalised learning plan with clear, achievable goals. Lessons include regular progress checks, constructive feedback, and opportunities for students to see tangible improvements in their skills over time. Whether your child is just beginning their English journey, needs support with school work, or wants to advance their reading and speaking abilities, I provide a warm, encouraging environment where they feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and grow.
With experience in supporting young learners from diverse backgrounds, I’m committed to helping every student unlock their potential and develop the skills and confidence to thrive in English—both inside and outside the classroom.
